Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program

The goal of this program is to effectively train internal medicine and pediatric physicians in the clinical and academic subspecialty of Allergy and Immunology. Upon completing the fellowship, physicians will be able to take and pass the ABIM subspecialty board in Allergy/Immunology, as well as to function as an Allergy/Immunology subspecialist in a consultant, military, or research environment.

Structure of the Fellowship Program: Four Air Force fellows per year are accepted for training into this 2 year SAUSHEC Allergy/Immunology program.

Fellows are based at Wilford Hall. The Allergy/Immunology program is a 2-year course, which includes 50% of the program devoted to patient care activities, 25% of the program devoted to scholarly activities and research and 25% of the program devoted to other educational activities. The two year program is generally divided into clinical, inpatient and elective rotations (1 month each). Two months of electives are provided during the second year.
