To provide accessible, high quality, cost effective, and customer focused interdisciplinary eye care for all eligible beneficiaries including Active Duty service members and their families, Warriors in Transition, and TRICARE Prime and TRICARE Plus enrollees. The available services include readiness care, comprehensive ophthalmological exams, preventive health maintenance, sick call/"red eye" care, military entrance processing physical exams, glaucoma management, specialty contact lens services, and low vision services. Optometric services are available at two Fort Sam Houston locations: Optometry Clinic, FMS FSH Primary Care Clinic, Bldg 1179, and McWethy TMC Optometry Clinic, Bldg 1279.
